The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) is supporting the establishment of a new Centre of Excellence for Sustainable and Resilient Food Systems and Applied Agricultural and Food Data Science in South Africa.
From 14-18 October, the DAAD team embarked on a five-day journey through the Free State and Eastern Cape, sharing information on German educational opportunities and strengthening partnerships.
Held from 7 to 9 November, the summit marked the 35th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall, symbolising a commitment to breaking down barriers in science and innovation.
The DAAD Information Centre Johannesburg provides information and consultation on study and research in Germany to South African institutions, members higher education management, academics, researchers and students.
In the eyes of the DAAD, the end of a funding period marks the beginning of a long-standing relationship with us. We aim to stay in touch with our alumni as well as help you get to know one another through a serious of programmes and activities. We also support you in setting up regional DAAD alumni clubs and other forms of networking opportunities.
German universities, as is the case all over the world, have broad networks of international partners. Through co-operation programmes among higher education institutions, DAAD supports German universities in expanding these networks.
